Andrew Size, age 52, was arrested on Monday, Sept. 26, after Massachusetts State Police received a tip about the alleged material, Westborough police said. Officers found child porn when they searched his home, authorities said.
Size worked is a custodian at Fales Elementary School and has been since placed on administrative leave, Boston25 reports. He will not be allowed on campus pending the outcome of the investigation.
“We are shocked and saddened that a member of our school community is allegedly involved with such an awful and damaging situation,” Westborough Public Schools Superintendent Amber Bock said in a statement. “Both the physical facility as well as the school’s network and computers did not have any inappropriate content connected to this investigation."
None of the images were depicting students, according to investigators. Size was held on $2,500 bond and was arraigned on child pornography charges on Tuesday afternoon.
